	Verdict PEACE of mind can't be had by just spending loads of dosh on expensive locks - you've got to deploy them properly too. Used cunningly, even a mediocre set-up will be effective. Locks and chains are a similar story to last year with all the old favorites doing just as well this time. Best buy goes to the Squire SS50, baby brother to the SS654 but no weaker. It's a very tough lock, reasonably priced and rakes in the value blobs too. Recommended are the ABUS Granit Black Gold, ABUS 140 Vari Gold, Squire SS654 and the Rolalok Mul-t-lock. All are superb kit.
